Anemia drugs increased risks of blood clots and deaths

The latest study on the drugs like Aranesp, Epogen and Procrit that are given to patients suffering from disease like cancer, manufactured by companies Amgen Inc.’s and Johnson & Johnson, suggest that these drugs can not only lead to blood clotting but also to death of the patients.

The drugs are approved by FDA and the labels on these drugs warn of blood clotting. But the latest study suggests that the patient can even die on taking these drugs. The study for blood clotting problem called thromboembolism was conducted on 8,172 patients and 38 cases were noted for the problem.
