Bill for routine HIV test during pregnancy
The New Jersey state is bringing a law to get the pregnant women tested for H.I.V as a routine like the ultrasound. The step has been taken an aggressive measure to check the spread of HIV in the region. The test conducted on pregnant women will help the doctors to prevent the new born baby from getting infected.
Currently only three states New York, Illinois and Connecticut are equipped with the facilities to offer H.I.V. tests for their patients. The states Michigan, Texas, Tennessee and Arkansas also have laws for prenatal HIV testings.
