A high level of Cholesterol called HDL cholesterol can be good for heart diseases and also will preserve the type of memory that reduces the risks of Alzheimer’s in the elderly. The study on the beneficial kind of cholesterol was carried out by the American Heart Association and the research will be published in the July 1 edition of the magazine.

The lead author of the magazine, Archana Singh found that 27% of people with low level of HDL cholesterol can have memory loss.
