The U.S. Food and Drug Administration released a report on Friday stating that the biological attacks and outbreak of food poisoning has affected the safety of fresh produce. The government accountability office said that the agency is unclear on what plan to follow to provide food safety.

The agency has been spending $20 million to get fresh produce in 2007 and the fresh produce industry said that it will welcome stringer regulation to stop biological attacks.
