Gene’s variants linked to stroke

It has been found by researchers that the newly found genes variants NINJ2 and WNK1 increase the risk of stroke by at least 30% in a person. The research was conducted on 20,000 patients and in almost 10 stroke cases the gene variant was found.
Researchers have found the gene WNK1 is linked to high blood pressure and NINJ2 gets active to produce protein, after a nerve injury, to help brain tolerate low blood pressure.
