New test to detect drug resistant TB

A test to detect multiple drug resistant TB in two days was praised by World Health Organization. The organization reported that the test will help to control the spread of airborne infections. The latest test will bring a new way to treat the tuberculosis type MDR-TB

The problem of drug resistant TB patient in foreign born patient in U.S. is about 1.5 % and the total percentage is three times the percentage of American born patients. The newest developed test is called line probe assay and it costs less than $8.
