Patients suffering from drug resistant TB increase globally

The World Health Organization recorded an increase in the drug resistant TB patients globally and a record number of patients suffering from the deadly disease were recorded in areas of the former Soviet Union.

The highest numbers of patients were reported from Baku in Azerbaijan that had about 22.3% of new cases of TB that were drug resistant.

Earlier the rate in the region of Kazakhstan was 14.2 percent and that was the highest rate registered by the survey. The survey suggested that the government has lost the check on the dieses.
