Discovery starts its mission

Discovery started its mission into the space after it was successfully launched on Tuesday from Cape Canaveral, Fla., NASA towards the International Space Station.
The shuttle will be in space for 14 days and is headed by Commander Pamela A. Melroy who is the commander for the 120th mission into the space.
The shuttle launch was expected to get delayed due top weather conditions but finally the launch happened on time successfully. The capsule communicator Col. Terry W. Virts of the Air Force reported to the commander of the mission about the launch debris and other related effect on launching the shuttle.
