Federal protection on gray wolves lifted

The states have been given the management of about 1500 gray wolves who reside in the Northern Rocky Mountains which was earlier being maintained by the Federal Endangered Species Act.
The environmentalists are making plans to sue the government agency for not taking up the protection of the endangered species. The Idaho hunters will be allowed by the states to kill the wolves and this may reduce the wolves’ population to 900.
