Mars shines brightest on Christmas eve
Christmas is marked by the shinning nose of Rudolph but on the Christmas Eve of 2007 December the planet Mars outshined all. The planet was reported to be located very close to earth at about 55 million miles away from earth. The close position of Mars sitting just opposite to Sun was watched by many onlookers.
The places not filled with fog and clouds had an easy view of Mars through the night telescopes in the Christmas. Another characteristic of the night has been the full moon view on the same night and both the celestial bodies were at their peak positions in the night.
