Blake defeated Youzhny in finals of the Davis Cup

The Friday Davis Cup Finals between Mikhail Youzhny of Russia and James Blake of the US resulted in victory of James Blake by 6-3, 7-6, 6-7, 7-6.The finals result also gave US a lead in the tennis championship by 2-0.

The Davis Cup final doubles will have most probably Bob and Mike Bryan playing. The US doubles team will be claiming for the first time after 1995 for the doubles cup. Bryans will have to face Russians Nikolay Davydenko and Igor Andreev in the finals of doubles match.
