Federer wins U.S. Open on Monday

On Monday night Roger Federer of Switzerland won the men’s championship trophy of the U.S. Open by defeating Andy Murray of Scotland. Federer won his 13th Grand Slam title by score of 6-2, 7-5, 6-2 in straight sets and it was his fifth straight at Open and it took him 1-hour 51-minutes to finish the game.

Federer said that he knew he played best on crucial occasions and when the match is in New York. Unfortunately the T.V. replay showed that Federer’s shot on break was out and he could have lost on being challenged.
