Phelps wins 11 gold

The American swimmer Michael Phelps made records at the Summer Beijing Olympics 2008 by getting 11 golds in single event .He broke the previous record of seven golds made by American Mark Spitz’s in a single game in the year 1972.

Phelps got victories in 200-meter butterfly and 4×200 freestyle relay on Tuesday night. Some of the records medal winners in Olympics are Carl Lewis, runner Paavo Nurmi and gymnast Larissa Latynina.
