Hubble’s control data formatter failure to delay lunch of space shuttle

The launch of a space shuttle to fix problems of NASA’s Hubble Space telescope will be delayed until mid February because the Hubble’s control unit / science data formatter has failed and it will start operating by the week end.

The next shuttle planned by NASA to be launched is to launch Atlantis to Hubble to repair Hubble. The plans to repair Hubble were hurried up after the loss of space shuttle Columbia in the year 2003.
