Judge’s ruling may affect privacy policy of YouTube

A ruling by a court judge in the Viacom copyright case will lead to revelation of identities of users registered to YouTube as the website will have to hand over log-on names and Internet addresses of every person who viewed the site’s video.
About tens of millions of people might have logged in and watched the video on the YouTube site and the court’s ruling will affect the privacy policy of the website. The company Viacom Inc. is suing YouTube for copyright infringement.
