University of Arizona to draw dollars with Mars mission

Peter Smith, who leads the Phoenix team as its principal investigator, from the University of Arizona said that the mission to mars is not just to get the information but the long term impact of the mission will be to draw dollars, get talent and fame for the university.

The university has a Science Operations Center built in Tucson, Arizona, that will carry out world class research work and the robotic mars mission will serve as a platform for future missions.
