U.S. and Russian astronauts carried out spacewalk of 5 and half hours to install device to monitor the conditions around the orbital outpost, outside the International space station on Tuesday.

A spacewalk was carried out in July to disconnect the equipment on the capsule to lower problems on landing. Both the astronauts Commander Michael Fincke and Yury Lonchakov searched for electric fields close to the Soyuz capsules.
