Blacks are in favor of Democrats

Black voters helped democrats get a lead in early polls and Republicans had an edge with Hispanic voters. Democrats cast 46% of votes out of the total 3.4 million on Thursday and Republicans cast 38% of votes.
In early polls reports Democrats outnumbered Republicans by 432,000 in about two million voters. Black turnout in the urban areas of state is high in the elections although in 2004 black turnout for early and absentee voting was not more than 10%.
