McCain gets the nomination as Huckabee drops out
mccain
John McCain, 71 was almost sure of getting the Presidential nomination from the Republican Party but the candidate was waiting for an official announcement from his rival Mike Huckabee to withdraw from the run for the Presidential race. Huckabee lost to McCain in all he four regions of Texas, Rhode Island, and Ohio and Vermont primaries.

McCain had taken up to fight against the democrats in the general elections before he was officially declared the republican nominee. McCain is preparing to get endorsement from the U.S. president George W. Bush for which he will travel to Washington.
