Mugabe sworn in as Zimbabwe president

Robert Gabriel Mugabe, 84, was sworn in as the president of Zimbabwe for the sixth term on Sunday after the presidential run off on Friday. The opposition party leader who won the presidential general elections three months back, dropped out of the Presidential run-off because his followers were getting beaten up by the state sponsored forces.
In March elections, Mr. Mugabe got 43% in general election and his opponent Mr. Tsvangirai got 43% votes. Many world leaders have criticized the election procedure considering it to be illegitimate.
