Obama strategist say Iraq war led to rise in terrorism
The strategist for Senator Barack Obama’s campaign said that there exists a relation between the Iraq war and rise in terrorism in the country. He said “underscores the case for judgment†for the assassination on Thursday of the Pakistani leader Benazir Bhutto. He urged people to consider the Iraq war and related issues before voting for any candidate.
Referring to the current instability in Pakistan Mr. Axelrod pointed out that Senator Hillary Clinton had backed the attack on Iraq whereas Senator Barack Obama did not support the war in 2002. Clinton’s spokesman said that the issue should not be politicized.
