Rain in Northeast causes flooding and power cuts

In the torrential rain and heavy winds at least seven people died in the weekend and more than half a million residents of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut were without electricity.
Authorities expected the storm will damage the Monday rush hour but most of the trolley lines and subways were opened on Monday. A state of emergency was declared in New Jersey and utility crew tried to restore the power cuts.
