The current set of regulation makes it difficult for terror suspect to be held in U.S. The Guantanamo Bay detention in Cuba is getting supported by Vice President Dick Cheney and Atty. Gen. Michael B. Mukasey who find it impractical to modify legislation.

Secretary of State Rice and Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates are against the current detention rule and want it modified to make it easy to hold terror suspect in U.S.
