Australia withdraws troops from Iraq

Australia was one of the foremost countries that joined America in fighting the war in Iraq and after five years of its operation in the country, the Australian officials announced that it will end its operation in Iraq.

The country lowered its flag in Iraq and the soldiers will arrive back home in next few weeks. A set of troops has already reached homeland on Sunday. The Australian defence minister said that the Iraqis are taking care of security need in the region where Australian troops were based.
