Conficker worm approaches deadline

As the deadline of April 1 reached, no evidence of harm to machines was reported. The worm called Conficker was aimed to access personal files of people, to send spam, to slog networks and to crash sites. No reports of the worms have been made in U.S. but the hackers behind the worm will be infecting machines under their control.
The hackers will first get control of the machines through networks and then will try to make profits from hacking. It is expected that about 15 million machines will be infected by the worm that has shown no sign of any activity till now.
