EU reform treaty under check

The French President Nicolas Sarkozy wanted the Lisbon treaty to be sanctioned. The treaty needs to get sanctioned from 27 members of the European Union and the French President has six more months left to get the agreement sanctioned.

But little progress is expected to come on the treaty. The main points in the treaty are - to streamline EU decision and increased coherence in foreign policies amongst the nations of European Union. But the latest development has made it difficult to get the implementation of the treaty.
