Iraqi journalist says “he was beaten in custody”

The Iraqi journalist Muntadhar al-Zeidi informed that he was beaten in custody as he was imprisoned over the shoe hurling matter. Zeidi was in news for hurling shoes towards U.S. President George Bush, when Bush had been to Iraq to attend a farewell ceremony where he was announcing that American troops will stay in country for next three years.
Bush saved himself from the shoes by bending down. There were strong reactions from across the world over the matter with many speaking in favor and others against the shoe hurling incident.
