Iraqis cast votes on Saturday

Iraqis went to polls on Saturday that was their first elections in four years and the elections is considered to be a test of stability of Iraqi government when the U.S. troops are preparing to leave the country to its people.

The provincial elections will indicate if the country can sustain its economic and security needs. About 14000 candidates are running for lead council’s 440 seats. The polls were carried out in the city amidst heavy security.
