Landslide and rising water level pose new dangers for rescue workers

The earthquake rescue operations is being carried out by 30,000 troops and 90 helicopters in earthquake hit regions of China and the military reported that it carried out its first large scale air drop in the region. About 50,000 food packets were dropped and thousands of items like clothing and blankets were dropped.
The rescue operations are getting dangers from the increasing water levels in the rivers as the dams’ got cracked due to the quake. The officials are also suspecting dangers from landslide in the region.
