Pakistan blocks Youtube

Pakistan government had blocked facebook as the social networking site encourages people to upload the photographs of Prophet Muhammad. Islam prohibits the use of images of Prophet and therefore the practice was condemned by Pakistan government.

Later the government announced to block YouTube because it showed sacrilegious contents. Pakistan government had asked the website to remove the religious material from the website. Users from Pakistan reportedly tweeted that “it was sad and embarrassing.”
