Russia agrees to truce

The European Union intermediated to halt the war carried out by Russian troops to capture Georgia and the countries Russia and Georgia have agreed to truce. In the Georgian capital Tbilisi, French president Nicolas Sarkozy announced the end of the war.

He said that both the parties have withdrawn their forces from the region though Georgia said that after announcing the end of war a few regions of Georgia were attacked by the troops and many got killed in the bombings on villages after truce.
