Slumdog movie’s kid’s sale enquiry ends

The father of the 9-year old Rubina Ali, who appeared in “Slumdog Millionaire”, has not been charged by the Indian police of trying to sell off his daughter to a rich sheikh. Her mother had filed a complaint in police against her husband who was trying to sell his daughter to a rich Arab for money.

The news was published by a British tabloid and it reported that the child was getting adopted by a Dubai couple for $400,000.Indian police found that Rubina’s father was not behind any such deal and hence no charges has been filed against him.
